In general there is no surprise in the new hitlist. As well as for the boys and girls there is only one new name and Lukas is still the absolut favorit for the austrian boy names and Leonie became the first position after a sharp booming tendency by winning 115 additional awards (rank 55 in 2000). While among the boynames there is a development to a bigger variety (in 2004 the topten received 8416, in 2005 only 8015 awards), in the last years the minimum to get into the topten was 712 votes, in 2005 this quantity was enought to win the 7th rank, this developement is not apparent within the girlranking, quite the opposite happens. The first 5 ranks got more votes each and because of this the second half of the ranking got a bigger gap between.

Lena follows by means of a big step and 120 additional naming on the second rank, and by doing this could make good her decrease of 2004 abundantly. Anna and Sarah drope two ranks, and just could stand in front of Julia, 1995-2001 on the first position, because Julia himself lost some votes. Laura and Hannah could keep there places just before Katharina , although they had quite big losses (-50 \ -65). Katharina, since the 80th between the 3rd and 6th rank, now on the 8th position, still as a soothing pad to Sophie on the 9th rank, whereas the new name in the topten Lea shortly missed Sophie, receiving 559 namings. Lisa lost her popularity and also missed the ranking since the late 80th.

The big loss of Florian with less 109 namings on the 4th rank ( since 89 on the second or third position ) made free the place for Tobias and David (David received the biggest increase (plus 53) this year ) .Alexander, receiving 13 additional votes, was able to return to his ancestral 5th rank, for Julian and Simon, have a strong negativ tendency (-48| -59), and had to allow to roll by Sebastian to the 6th position. Fabian falls behind on his old rank 8 of 2002 bz means of big losses . Maximilian is able to be cheered as new arrivals, while Michael followes his falling tendency and misses the ranking this year.
