Lukas and Anna are the leader in the austrian Top Ten. Lukas is leading since six years and beyond the Top Ten since 1990. 1984 when this statistic started , he took the 32nd place. As in 2001 Lukas is followed by Florian in an evidant distance. Nevertheless Florian is popular since years for he never left the first 15th. Tobias, who entered the Top Ten in 2001, was able to make a big jump in the ranking of this year. Together with David, who could compensate his slip of the year 2002. (2001/9, 200/7). So Daniel (always within the Top Ten) was pushed to the 5th place. Michael seems to loose his long lasting popularity (absolut front runner since 1984 up to 1996, when he was detached by Lukas) for he is now on the 6th position, very curtly ahead of Alexander (everytime within the Top 15 and 4 times in a row on the 5th rank up to 2001) The next sites are occupied by alumni newcomers. Fabian, 1999 for the first time within the Top Ten, achieved only the 8 rank; Marcel , entering the Top Ten only in 2001, took the 9th position, althought the parent choosed him more often than a year before (743 to 756 in 2002).New in this ranking are Maximilian and Sebastian ex-aequo on the 10 position. Within the girl christian names Anna reached the first rank after occupying for three years in a row the second rank. Sarah took the second place, waiting for this chance the last four years on the 3rd position. Julia, on the other hand changed her first rank with the 3rd. Laura, 1997 for the first time beneath the Top Ten, took the 4th position and so we have the same sequence as the years before for Lisa (Rank 5) and Katharina are following.(Rank 6 , changing place within the 3rd and 6th position since the 80th). Both names belong some ten years to the leading group of the most popular christian names, The next positions are used by Hannah (Platz 8) and Lena (Platz 7),but the other way round as in 2001. The „rocket of the year 2001" Selina, mounting from the 17th to the 9th place, maintained this position also in 2002. Viktoria , although used 10% more often than in 2001, rested on the 10th rank. ..
